Grupo HAME sustainability and transparency

On the way to sustainable palm oil production, since 2018 we have been part of the transparency audit carried out by the Zoological Society of London, through its SPOTT * platform, ranking fourth highest in Latin America, thanks to responsible practices. and sustainable that we implement in our operations. In 2019 and 2020 we participated with our company REPSA and since 2021 we include all our palm, palm oil and refinery operations. This year, we saw an improvement in our rating of 17.9 points compared to the previous year. SPOTT evaluates 100 palm oil producers, processors and traders on their public disclosure about their organization, policies and practices related to environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues. Each company receives a percentage score for comparing its progress over time. SPOTT evaluates 184 indicators on environmental, social and governance issues. Additionally, the platform incentivizes the implementation of best corporate practices and supports the production and trade of sustainable commodities. (Read graph: Scores obtained in Grupo HAME). Assessed companies are reviewed annually to ensure that their inclusion continues to align with these objectives and needs, and that they do not make significant changes to the scope and scale of their operations.
