At Grupo HAME we joined the awareness and reforestation activities of the Sembrando Huella 2022 program, as members of the Technical Table of the Ocosito River Basin that took place on the San José La Gloria farm, Retalhuleu, on May 26, where They planted 300 bushes of species native to the region. The Technical Roundtable was established in 2016 as a dialogue mechanism for the coordination of the responsible and rational use of water in the Ocosito River, with the purpose of guaranteeing access to the water resource for the benefit of communities and agricultural producers, generating a positive impact. at a social, environmental and economic level. The Roundtable is made up of the Departmental Government, municipal and community authorities, representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, the National Forest Institute, the Climate Change Research Institute, the Presidential Commission on Human Rights, the Human Rights Ombudsman's Office and representatives of the producers of sugar, palm and banana.
